1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to deliver the service:
- Account Information: Username and email address provided during registration.
- User Content: Snippet titles, descriptions, programming languages, tags, and source code.
- System Logs: Anonymous IP address hashes for rate-limiting and snippet view metrics.
2. Password Protection & Security
Passcodes for protected snippets and user passwords are cryptographic one-way hashes generated using Argon2id. We never store plain text passwords.
3. Third-Party Tracking & Cookies
Codeku does not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising cookies, or data brokers. Standard first-party session cookies are used exclusively for user authentication.
4. Data Deletion
Users may delete any snippet they have authored directly from their dashboard. Snippet deletion is immediate and permanent across our databases.
